Deadline has announced that Dean Fleischer-Camp will be directing the live-action version of the classic animated film Lilo and Stitch.

The 2002 animated film Lilo and Stitch two characters, a little Hawaiin girl named Lilo Pelekai and a blue extraterrestrial creature called Experiment 626, who is adopted by Lilo as her “dog” and renamed “Stitch.” It hasn’t been confirmed whether the live-action will be a theatrical release or on Disney Plus.

Fleischer-Camp has recently received critical success of his movie, Marcel the Shell with Shoes On. It has brought in almost $1 million and has become a hit for the studio A24.
