Timothy Olyphant Joins ‘Alien’ TV Series from FX and Noah Hawley

Alien will soon be hitting the big and small screen with Noah Hawley and FX handling the small screen. Deadline reports today on a new addition to the cast, Timothy Olyphant. The actor reunites with Hawley for the Ridley Scott produced show. Alien also has Alex Lawther as a soldier named CJ, Samuel Blenkin as Boy Kavalier, a CEO, as well as Essie Davis as Dame Silvia, Adarsh Gourav as Slightly and Kit Young as Tootles.

The show has been described as extension and reinvention” of the films that have come before it, with Ellen Ripley not involved. According to Deadline Olyphant’s character is described as

 I hear he plays Kirsh, a synth who acts as a mentor and trainer for Chandler’s Wendy who is a hybrid, a meta-human who has the brain and consciousness of a child but the body of an adult.
