Marvel Studios is preparing for its Fantastic Four reboot which is set to release November 2024.

There have been a lot of rumors involving the cast and crew for the film. The role of director for the film has also been in limbo, with Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts departing from the role back in April.

According to The Direct, WandaVision director Matt Shakman is signed on to direct Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four. This has not been confirmed by Disney, but Kevin Feige could make this official during the studio’s D23 Expo presentation September 10.

Shakman has a proven record directing in television, and leading WandaVision to be one of Disney+’s most successful shows. WandaVision‘s theme of family will clearly lend itself to the Fantastic Four reboot. Shakman is also set to direct Star Trek 4 and Apple’s Godzilla and the Titans.
