Jeffrey Dean Morgan Joins ‘The Boys’ Cast
Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been cast in Season 4 of The Boys.
Morgan will be reunited with Supernatural creator Eric Kripke who serves as a showrunner on The Boys. Morgan played John Winchester, the demon-hunting father of Dean and Sam, whom he taught the “family business” from a very early age following the death of their mother Mary at the hands of a yellow-eyed demon.
Kripke recently spoke about his attempts to secure Morgan’s participation in the new season, telling E! News, “Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a superfan of the show, so he and I are talking. We’re trying to figure out something for season four. Nothing finalized yet, but he and I are chatting and e-mailing and seeing it we can make it work with his busy schedule. So, stay tuned on that.”
Morgan can be seen in AMC’s The Walking Dead, which is airing its final season. Following its conclusion, Morgan will reprise his role as Negan in the upcoming spin-off series Dead City set to premiere 2023.
Along with Morgan, Valorie Curry and Susan Heyward will be joining Season 4. Production has already begun, led by returning series regulars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Karen Fukuhara, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Colby Minifie and Claudia Doumit, among others.
