20th Century Studios announced a prequel earlier this year to The Omen, The First Omen.
Nell Tiger Free will star in the upcoming film. Free made her acting debut on Game of Thrones and currently plays the nanny, Leanne Grayson on Apple TV’s Servant.

Arkasha Stevenson will make her feature directing debut on the pic and will also handle the rewrite alongside writing partner Tim Smith. Smith is set to executive produce, with Phantom Four producing.

The original 1976 classic, which starred Gregory Peck, Lee Remick and Harvey Stephens, followed an American ambassador who believes his five-year-old son is the Antichrist. There are three sequels: 1978’s Damien: Omen II and 1981’s The Final Conflict, as well as the 2006 reboot. There was also a short-lived “Damien” television series.
Plot details are being kept under wraps.
