Luca Guadagnino Plans to Make a ‘Call Me by Your Name’ Sequel
Luca Guadagnino and Timothée Chalamet first worked together on the 2017 film Call Me by Your Name. The coming-of-age romantic drama stars Chalamet and Armie Hammer. Guadagnino has revealed plans to work on a sequel to the film.
During the Telluride Film Festival, Guadagnino shared that he would like to work on a follow-up to the film. Not wanting to call it a sequel, he explains that “It’s more like the chronicles of Elio, the chronicles of this young boy becoming a man. It is something I want to do.”
Guadagnino and Chalamet have reunited on his latest film, Bones and All. The film stars Timothée Chalamet and Taylor Russell. Guadagnino and screenwriter David Kajganich have transformed Camille DeAngelis’ 2015 cannibal into a gothic plunge into the ’80s-era midwest.
Bones and All releases theatrically on November 23, 2022.
