A new film in The Ring franchise is headed our way this year, Sadako DX.
The film’s official Twitter account shared a new teaser, featuring Sadako herself. The video, entirely in Japanese, watches along as Sadako herself sits in a darkened room lit only by two candles.
From director Hisashi Kimura and writer Yūya Takahashi, Sadako DX stars stars Fūka Koshiba. Koshiba plays Fuka Ichijo, a college student with 200 IQ who tries to unravel the curse of Sadako.
In the film, “The curse has mutated, spreading at great speed via the internet, and there are only a few hours left for skeptical TV personality Ayaka to solve the puzzle.”
Sadako DX releases in theaters in Japan October, 28.
