The official trailer for the new Disney+ series Echo starring Alaqua Cox was unveiled today at D23. It is a spinoff of last years’ Marvel series Hawkeye.

The show sees Lopez leave New York for her hometown, where she reconnects with her roots and ends up at the center of a new crisis.
Echo stars a largely Indigenous cast, with Zahn McClarnon playing Lopez’s father William. Other cast members include Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Cody Lightning and Graham Greene. The series will also feature appearances from Charlie Cox as Daredevil/Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin.

Cox spoke at D23 about the importance of Echo to “all of us growing up on our reserves, wishing to see Indigenous superheroes.”
Echo will be available on Disney+ Summer 2023.
