James Gunn, writer and director of both Marvel and DC Comics films, is working on a mystery project for DC.
Gunn and producer Peter Safran (Shazam!, Aquaman) are in talks with Warner Bros for a secret movie, and possibly more. With Gunn’s experience working on Guardians of the Galaxy, Peacemaker, and The Suicide Squad, he definitely has proven himself more than capable of taking on further comic-related projects.
It isn’t clear what character or characters Gunn would work on. The studio itself is very focused on having Henry Cavill reprise his role as Superman. Currently, Gunn is confirmed to be working on a second season of Peacemaker. Once complete, Gunn will continue on this mysterious project.
