‘Resident Evil’ Showcase Reveals Stunning Updates

Today was the showcase for Resident Evil. There was a trailer for Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, along with gameplay footage and a story trailer of the Resident Evil 4 remake.

The trailer starts off with The Duke narrating. There are several scenes of Rose, and we get a glimpse of her powers. Kento Kinoshita, the director of the expansion went into further details of what can be expected.

You will play as Ethan’s daughter, Rose who is now 16 years old. Rose is trying to get rid of her “unwanted powers” but in order to do so, she “must return to the origin of her misfortune,” the village introduced in Resident Evil 8. The setting is, “The Realm of Consciousness.”

There are also additional characters added (in addition to Chris Redfield) to the Mercenaries Mode: Karl Heisenberg and Alcina Dimitrescu. With these additions, players will be able to wield special skills and powers. In addition, third person point of view has been added for those who don’t enjoy first person.

Resident Evil 4 Remake

The remake of Resident Evil 4 will be arriving March 24, 2023 for Playstation 5, PC, and Xbox Series. The footage shows Leon arriving in the village, where the villagers let Leon know he’s not welcome. The remake will feature some new tweaks including a new parry move for Leon, as enemies will now grab and hold onto Leon.

Resident Evil Re:Verse

Additionally, an update on Resident Evil Re:Verse was provided. While there’s still no hard release date, players will be able to participate in an Early Access period starting October 23rd at 7pm PDT, ending on October 25 at 11pm PDT.

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition releases on October 28. “Winters’ Expansion” will arrive on December 2nd. Cloud Versions of the Resident Evil 2 remake, Resident Evil 3 remake and Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition also now have release dates of November 11, November 18 and December 16, respectively.
