The first trailer for Universal’s upcoming Dracula film, Renfield released today.

The film follows Dracula’s henchman, Renfield as he tries to get out of his “toxic relationship” with his longtime boss. We see Renfield attending meetings in the trailer, describing this relationship, until finally, Dracula himself crashes the meeting.

The film is directed by Chris McKay, with screenplay by Ryan Ridley. It stars Nicolas Cage, Nicholas Hoult, Ben Schwartz, Awkwafina, Brandon Scott, and Bess Rous. The film is based on the original story outline by The Walking Dead‘s Robert Kirkman.

Renfield is set to release April 14, 2023.
