DC Studios Co-Chairmen/Co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran announced DC’s full slate of films and shows today.
Much like the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which includes phases of films and projects, DC will have they call “chapters”. The first chapter will be DCU Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. The films in this chapter are Superman: Legacy, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, The Brave and the Bold, Swamp Thing, and The Authority.
There is also another category titled “Elseworlds”, which will include two confirmed films. Writer-director Matt Reeves’ much anticipated sequel to The Batman, The Batman Part II. Additionally, Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga’s Joker: Folie à Deux, which is currently in production.
In addition, several shows were announced: Creature Commandos, Booster Gold, Paradise Lost, Waller, and Lanterns. The first, Paradise Lost, is described as a fantasy series set primarily on the Amazons’ home of Themyscira long before Wonder Woman’s birth. Lanterns will feature both Hal Jordan and John Stewart in leading roles.
