Five Nights At Freddy’s Movie Starts Filming

It’s been a long time but its finally begun, Five Nights at Freddy’s movie starts filming today! We have been long anticipating the chance to see Freddy Fazbear on the big screen and that time is upon us almost. The FNAF movie which is being done via Blumhouse has finally started shooting according to Jason Blum via his Twitter.

The film will follow the video game but we’re not sure just how true it will be to the source material nonetheless we’re excited. The film has been a longtime in the making since the inception of the game itself. In 2014, Scott Cawthon released the first game in the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise, which unexpectedly grew into a huge franchise. The film rights were acquired in 2015 and since then, multiple books, graphic novels, and games have expanded the universe.

Five Nights at Freddy’s will be directed by Emma Tammi with a screenplay from her, Seth Cuddeback, and Cawthon as well. We also have Jim Henson’s company Creature Shop helping with the animatronics. Matthew Lillard will be in the movie as the infamous Purple Man and Josh Hutcherson as the night security guard. While we don’t know exact plot details one can only look back at the games to have an idea of where the story is headed.
