Ben Stiller is in Final Negotiations to star in the Limited Series Adaptation of ‘Three Identical Strangers’ at Sony Pictures Television

Ben Stiller is close to signing a deal to play the lead in a limited series adaptation of Three Identical Strangers, as reported by Variety. Writer Amy Lippman and production companies Sony Pictures Television, SK Global, and TriStar Television are behind the project. The series, like the documentary, will follow the true story of three identical triplets—Bobby Shafran, David Kellman, and Eddy Galland—separated at birth and reunited later in life. Stiller will play the adult triplets.

Ben Stiller will make a rare TV appearance in the limited series adaptation of Three Identical Strangers. This will be one of his first major acting roles in recent years, as he has mostly made cameo appearances in films like Hubie Halloween and Bros, and the 2021 film “Locked Down.” Recently, Stiller has been more involved in producing and directing. He executive produced and directed the Emmy-winning shows Escape at Dannemora at Showtime and Severance at Apple. Stiller received Emmy nominations for directing both shows.

The documentary Three Identical Strangers debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in 2018.
