According to Deadline, Scott Mescudi (aka Kid Cudi), who appeared in slasher movie X last year, has been cast in the upcoming zombie horror-comedy Hell Naw. The film, which is being produced by Sam Levinson, the creator of Euphoria, is described as a comedy-horror-action hybrid and is set to take place during Paris Fashion Week.
The plot is being kept under wraps, but Keith & Kenny Lucas are writing the script, and it is known that there will be zombies. Mescudi, who has been a horror fan since childhood, says that the film has been in the making for five years and promises to “fuck you up in all the best ways.”
Mescudi expressed his excitement about creating his own stories and entering the world of horror. He shared that after years of working on the idea, it’s finally happening with Sam, The Lucas Bros, and himself crafting a tale that horror and comedy fans will enjoy. He promises that the audience will laugh, but the horror aspect of the movie will be truly frightening, saying, “You will be shook. I promise. Y’all know I don’t play around. Get ready baby.”
