Beetlejuice 2 seems to be picking up steam after the announcement of the film earlier this year. Warner Bros. is actively casting as they prepare to start filming this month, with Tim Burton returning as the director, who helmed the original movie released in 1988. Monica Bellucci, who is currently starring in the comedy film Mafia Mamma, is currently in talks to join the impressive ensemble cast of Beetlejuice 2. Jenna Ortega takes on the lead role, and Michael Keaton reprises his iconic character. Winona Ryder returns as Ortega’s mother, while Catherine O’Hara is also making a comeback. Joining the cast as a newcomer is Justin Theroux.

While the details of the plot are being kept under wraps, it has been confirmed that Monica Bellucci will portray the character of Beetlejuice’s wife in the upcoming film. On Tuesday, Warner Bros. announced that Beetlejuice 2 is set to hit theaters on September 6, 2024.

Beetlejuice 2 is being produced by Tim Burton and Brad Pitt’s Plan B, along with other collaborators.
