According to a Bloody Disgusting exclusive, Cinderella is the next classic children’s story to be retold in a horror-setting. Winnie the Pooh was recently turned into a bloody film with Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, as well as How the Grinch Stole Christmas with The Mean One.

Coming soon from ChampDog Films, Cinderella’s Curse is going up for sale at AFM, and Bloody Disgusting has also learned that ITN Studios will be releasing the film in October 2023.

Filming begins next month in the UK.

Produced and Directed by Louisa Warren, the film is written by Harry Boxley (Mary Had A Little Lamb). The cast includes Kelly Rian Sanson, Chrissie Wunna and Danielle Scott.

Louisa Warren tells Bloody Disgusting, “This an incredibly unique spin on the Cinderella we all love and know. There are going to be some truly horrific deaths by her hands.

Cinderella has already been remade as a live action in 2015, but this new retelling is definitely a twist. There is definitely a market, considering the success of Blood and Honey which brought in 5.2 million on a $100,000 budget.
