Chris Rock Animated Series Coming to Paramount+ and Comedy Central

An animated series by Chris Rock is coming to Paramount+ and Comedy Central. The series is a reimagining of Everybody Hates Chris, which first aired in 2005.

Everybody Hates Chris

Everybody Hates Chris debuted in 2005 on UPN and ran for four seasons, one on UPN and three on CW. It chronicled Chris as he grows up in 1980s Brooklyn. It starred Tyler James Williams (Chris), Terry Crews (Julius), Tichina Arnold (Rochelle), Tequan Richmond (Drew), Imani Hakim (Tonya), and Vincent Martella (Greg Wuliger). Like Everybody Hates Chris, the new series will be narrated by Chris Rock. The new series will also be inspired by Rock’s childhood. Rock will also serve as executive producer.

CBS Studios, 3 Arts Entertainment, MTV Entertainment Studios will produce. Sanjay Shah (South Park, Central Park) will serve as showrunner and wrote the pilot for the new animated series. Shah, Ali LeRoi (co-creator of Everybody Hates Chris), Michael Rotenberg (3 Arts Entertainment), Dave Becky (3 Arts Entertainment), and Grant Gish (MTV Entertainment Studios Head of Adult Animation) will also be exec producing.

Everybody Still Hates Chris does not have a debut date at the moment.
