David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan are Superman and Lois Lane in James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy.

Gunn is directing the project from his own screenplay, based on the character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Peter Safran will produce.

Corenswet starred in Hollywood and earned widespread acclaim for his breakout performance in Netflix’s The Politician, as well as A24’s Pearl. He also wrote, directed and starred in the web sketch comedy series Moe & Jerryweather. He will next be seen opposite Natalie Portman in Apple’s The Lady in the Lake.

Brosnahan has a well-established profile includes Amazon’s long running The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Netflix’s House of Cards, Lionsgate’s The Courier, Dead for a Dollar.

Superman: Legacy is set to release in theaters on July 11, 2025
