The film stars Brad Pitt alongside Damson Idris and heres the log line. In F1, Pitt steps into the shoes of Sonny Hayes, a former Formula 1 driver who “is lured back to the sport to partner rookie teammate Joshua Pearce – played by Damson Idris – at the fictional APXGP team.” Brad Pitt talked about the film with Sky Sports

“[Sonny Hayes] has a horrible crash, kind of craps out and disappears and is racing in other disciplines,” Pitt told Sky Sports standing in the paddock at Silverstone last summer. “His friend, played by Javier Bardem, is a team owner. They’re a last-placed team… They’ve never scored a point. They have a young phenom played by Damson Idris. He brings me in as a kind of Hail Mary, and hijinks ensue.”

Joining Pitt and Idris in F1 will be Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo. The movie is being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Brad Pitt, and seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, and filming has taken place at real F1 events, including this weekend’s British Grand Prix.
