The trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s released today.
Based on the game of the same name, the film follows Mike (Josh Hutcherson), who takes a job as a nighttime security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While working, he soon learns that the restaurant’s animatronics: Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, and Mr. Cupcake, become hostile at night.

In the trailer, it is revealed that the animatronics are brought to life by the tortured souls of children murdered in the 80s. We also get a glimpse of Matthew Lillard’s character who is shown at a desk with a name tag that says, “Steve Raglan.” And an added bonus for fans of YouTube gamers, CoryXKenshin appears as a cameo at the end of the trailer as a taxicab driver!

Five Nights at Freddy’s is directed by Emma Tammi (The Wind, Blood Moon) and is written by Scott Cawthon, Emma Tammi and Seth Cuddeback. It stars Josh Hutcherson (Ultraman, The Hunger Games franchise), Matthew Lillard (Good Girls, Scream), Elizabeth Lail (You, Mack & Rita), Kat Conner Sterling (We Have A Ghost, 9-1-1), Piper Rubio (Holly & Ivy, Unstable) and Mary Stuart Masterson (Blindspot, Fried Green Tomatoes).
