The Saw franchise has been a staple for the horror genre for two decades almost. James Wan crafted a trilogy that spanned beyond him and was a huge success at the box office. The franchise has slowed down over time and even took a small break. It doesn’t take long nowadays however for studios to bring back the IP’s that worked and that’s what’s going on with Saw right now. The latest film in the franchise Saw X is scheduled to release a month earlier than previously reported, September 29th.

This comes off probably of not wanting to release on a busy October and makes sense to give the movie room to grow. We also not only got a new release but also a first look and details on the film. We have learned that Saw X will take place between the events of Saw and Saw II in which we will see John Kramer venture to Mexico for a cure of his sickness.

The Saw franchise looks to scare up Halloween once again as it did for the past almost two decades. We will be anticipating a trailer pretty soon as the film is about two months away.

What are your thoughts on the new Saw movie, and will you be watching it in theaters?
