The Exorcist has been a longstanding horror movie that has inspired countless others. The original 1973 film caused major panic in viewers that ventured out to see the film. It had a couple of sequels and a prequel but now it seems they are giving it the Halloween treatment. The 1978 classic Halloween got a sort of reboot/sequel in 2018. The new film from David Gordon Greene The Exorcist Believer will do just the same for The Exorcist franchise.

We got a first official look at the new film that will arrive on October 13th with some new posters that showcase the creepy factor. You can check out the new posters below for the horror film.

The Exorcist Believer will be the first of a new trilogy that will follow the events of the first film. Leslie Odom Jr is set to star as a father whose daughter becomes possessed. Odom goes to seek help and will come to find that in Ellen Burstyn’s character of Chris in the original.

David Gordon Greene returns to direct and wrote the script with Peter Sattler with a story from him, Scott Teems, and Danny McBride. It’s great to see a big release from The Exorcist which we hadn’t seen since 2005’s Dominion. We did get a short-lived excellent show on FOX which took place in the same universe but that’s about it. The Exorcist Believer could also be seeing a trailer pretty soon and some speculate it could be attached to Oppenheimer. We will be covering if it does but, in the meantime, let us know if you’re excited for the film!
