The latest film from Emerald Fennel has Barry Keoghan and Jacob Elordi leading a twisted drama that’s sure to get people talking. Emerald Fennel had their debut feature Promising Young Woman earn them an Oscar for best original screenplay. Their latest film Saltburn looks to continue their streak when it comes to award season.
Saltburn will be the opening film for the 67th BFI London Film Festival. Check out a synopsis for the film:
“In the film Set in the mid-2000s, the twisted drama follows Oxford University student Oliver Quick (Keoghan), who finds himself intrigued by the world of his aristocratic peer, Felix Catton (Elordi). Felix then invites Oliver to Saltburn, his family’s luxury estate, where they spend “a summer never to be forgotten” together.”
The first look at the trailer shows us that there be a lot of twists and turns that will unfold. It has a very dark feeling to it as well, so expect anything. You can check out the trailer below:
