The latest film from Jonathan Glazer The Zone of Interest has released it’s first trailer and new poster. Glazer returns after Under the Skin which was also with A24. In the new film Glazer explores Rudolf Höss as he tries to build a life with his family next to Auschwitz.

The film has been on a festival run where it has garnered critical acclaim. Jonathan Glazer is no stranger to tackling heavy material. The Zone of Interest is definitely one that has to be handled with care. According to Glazer who also visited Auschwitz, they had to take the time for two years to really familiarize themselves with everything.

The trailer itself doesn’t showcase any of the vile acts but it more so focuses on the family. It’s a disturbing trailer nonetheless with the knowledge of what is happening close to the home. The score amplifies this feeling and one can only imagine how the film will be. It’s one of our most anticipated of the year and will be one we discuss more, so stay tuned.

The Zone of Interest will open theatrically in The United States on December 8th, 2023.
