According to Bloody Disgusting, this hit horror film Barbarian has a videogame adaptation for PC and consoles on the way.

Diversion3 Entertainment will lead the creative team, which is a big deal considering they worked on both Friday the 13th: The Game and Evil Dead: The Game.

“We’re very excited to work with the team at New Regency to expand on the settings, characters, and creatures of Barbarian,” said Tim Hesse, Executive Producer of Diversion3 Entertainment. “The film did a magnificent job of not only scaring audiences with its unexpected and horrifying twists and turns, but also in establishing strong characters thrown into terrifying situations.

“We look forward to exploring these themes further in the game.”

Zach Cregger’s Barbarian follows a woman staying at a rental home that she discovers is already being occupied. However, she soon discovers a more horrifying secret in the home. The film stars Bill Skarsgård, Justin Long, and Georgina Campbell.
