The English trailer for Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli’s The Boy and the Heron is out. The hand-drawn animated film features an all-star cast that includes Christian Bale, Dave Bautista, Gemma Chan, Willem Dafoe, Karen Fukuhara, Mark Hamill, Robert Pattinson, and Florence Pugh.

Here’s the film’s synopsis: “Mahito, a young 12-year-old boy, struggles to settle in a new town after his mother’s death. However, when a talking heron informs Mahito that his mother is still alive, he enters an abandoned tower in search of her, which takes him to another world.”

The film will be available for special preview engagements in New York City and Los Angeles on November 22. It will release in theaters nationwide December 8.
