Fallout comes through with an explosive new trailer. With the trailer for the Fallout series dropping, we are able to finally take a look inside the world they are creating. The amount of detail put into this project is evident from the post-war settings to the mutated monsters, it’s clear you’ll be able to feel completely immersed in the Fallout world.

Through the trailer, we are able to travel through the various locations present in the Fallout videogames. I noticed what seemed to be several references to Fallout 4. The most notable one for me personally was Diamond City; while it was only shown for a few short scenes, the attention to detail was incredible. The main area of the city looked just like it was taken from the game, even the Mayor was shown for a quick scene. We were also able to get an overview glimpse of the full city, an incredible sight to see.

The sole survivor, portrayed by Ella Purnell, shows great promise in the clips we’re given. She radiates the vibes of someone who feels lost but ready to adapt to this big nuclear world she’s walking into. It’ll be interesting to see her performance as the story progresses. The rest of the characters also look like they were taken right out of the game.

The work done on Walton Goggins for the character of the ghoul is well done, giving us a good look at what a ghoul could possibly look like in real life. While this character isn’t made to be a specific character from the game, the way he has been described is interesting and exciting to get to know him. Walton Goggins had this to say about his character in an interview at Comic Con: “He survived the nuclear war. He is a bounty hunter. He is as ruthless as they come. Pragmatic. He’s a rascal. He’s got a wicked sense of humor.” and “”I’d say he could be your best friend and your worst f—ing enemy, but he doesn’t have friends, so he’ll only be your enemy.” It will definitely be interesting to get to know this new character, as well as seeing him possibly(?) interact with our protagonist given his unfriendly demeanor.

We are also shown the enemies and animals of the Fallout world. Dogmeat’s character is adorable as we get some glimpses of him defending himself from the dangers of this world. We are also shown a scene with what looks like a Yao guai, an enemy that can be terrifying in game if you do not have enough ammo to take it on. The designs on these monsters fit perfectly into this world. We are also shown the designs of the Power Armor suits with what could be the Brotherhood of Steel. The designs on these suits look amazing, super detailed, and powerful looking for whoever gets lucky enough to own one.

The amount of love and passion put into this project is evident in the trailer. It is a dream for anyone who’s a big fan of the games, being able to spot all the things we love from the games in this trailer. I am excited to see how the story will play out in this adaption.
