The 2024 Golden Globes just wrapped up and it was full of surprises across the board. Poor Things and Oppenheimer have shown strength going into the Oscars. Robert Downey Jr. kicked things off winning best supporting actor which was a surprise for a lot considering the stacked line up. Oppenheimer continued to bring in the awards with Christopher Nolan winning for Best Director and Ludwig Göransson also nabbing Best Score.

The huge wins for Oppenheimer continued with Cillian Murphy winning best actor in a Drama and the film winning Best Drama Film. This is a huge turning point in the Oscars race and gives Oppenheimer the same number of wins as La La Land in 2017. Although La La Land did not win Best Picture at the Oscars it still managed to nab some awards. It’s an interesting race that is already stacked and we will be anticipating and reporting all the winners of the Oscars so stay tuned.
