Celine Song and A24 are teaming up for Song’s second feature following their breakout directorial debut Past Lives from last year. Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans are in talks to lead the romantic comedy Materialists.

Materialists is the film Song revealed would be her follow up to Past Lives late last year, is a New York-set rom-com following a high-end matchmaker who gets involved with a wealthy man. The roles Johnson, Pascal and Evans would be playing have not been disclosed.

Celine Song’s Past Lives had its premiere at Sundance last year and is currently nominated for Best Picture at The Oscars. We really enjoyed Past Lives last year and feel that Celine’s approach to the immigrant experience was so well put. You can check out our breakdown to the film here.
