Matt Reeves’ revolutionary Planet of The Apes trilogy has concluded but there is still much more story to tell; the new Kingdom of The Planet of The Apes teases just that. In the new film from Wes Ball (The Maze Runner) we see a world many years beyond Matt Reeves’ trilogy. The trailer showcases that the apes have evolved beyond humans and are now hunting them. Kingdom of The Planet of The Apes stars Owen Teague (“IT”), Freya Allan (“The Witcher”), Kevin Durand (“Locke & Key”), Peter Macon (“Shameless”), and William H. Macy (“Fargo”). The screenplay is by Josh Friedman (“War of the Worlds”) and Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver (“Avatar: The Way of Water”) and Patrick Aison (“Prey”). Check out the new trailer below:

Here is a brief synopsis for what the film has to offer:

Director Wes Ball breathes new life into the global, epic franchise set several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign, in which apes are the dominant species living harmoniously and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.
