Jason Blum Is Still Hoping for a Blumhouse ‘Friday the 13th’ Film

Friday The 13th has been in a bit of a limbo the last couple of years due to some weird legal issues. We do have to note that Camp Crystal Lake is still on the way hopefully sometime this year. Of course, that will just be a tv show and people seem to be wanting to see Jason on the big screen once again. It seems one person is fighting for that still and that’s Jason Blum.

On a recent interview with Collider Blum had this to say about a potential Friday The 13th film from Blumhouse.

[Friday the 13th] is not a Blumhouse project, but I’m trying to will it into being one. It’s just a piece of IP I’ve always loved.”

And James Wan and Atomic Monster are very passionate about it, and I think we would have them shepherd it for us. That would be a lot of fun.”

Of course, nothing is inked or set in stone just yet. We do know that Camp Crystal Lake is coming to Peacock hopefully this year, and it will be more of a prequel than anything.

What are your thoughts about a Blumhouse and Atomic Monster Friday the 13th movie?
