Furiosa has to be one of the most anticipated movies of the last decade. The new film from George Miller which serves as an extension to the previous Mad Max Fury Road rolls into theaters in May. In the latest trailer which stars Anya Taylor-Joy as the titular character Furiosa, we get more glimpses of the character. Charlize Theron played the role in the previous movie and now Anya is playing a younger Furiosa. Furiosa also stars Chris Hemsworth as Warlord Dementus a very wild looking character.

The first trailer showcased the spectacle that we’re about to get with this movie. Our newest trailer is here to tell us more about the story and a bit of Furiosa’s background. Miller has also teased that Furiosa will span years whereas Fury Road was over a couple of days.

It is for sure one of the best trailers we have gotten for a movie in a bit. Anya and Chris look like they are giving it their all. We also get a couple of characters and call backs to Fury Road. Check out the full synopsis below:

“As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland they come across the Citadel presided over by the Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.”

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga will release in theaters on May 24, 2024.
