We recently watched Utopia’s Red Rooms, a film which we had been anticipating for quite some time now after hearing all of the buzz since Fantasia Fest!

Written and directed by Pascal Plante, the film stars Juliette Gariépy, Laurie Babin, and Elisabeth Locas. In the film, “Kelly-Anne (Gariépy) is obsessed with the high-profile case of a serial killer, and reality blurs with her morbid fantasies. She goes down a dark path to get the missing video of the murder of a young girl, to whom Kelly-Anne bears a disturbing resemblance.”

Red Rooms world premiered in Karlovy Vary’s Crystal Globe competition in July and then had its North American premiere as the opening film of the Fantasia International Film Festival where it won five awards including best feature.

The film will release July 4, 2024.
