A three-part documentary series Hollywood Con Queen, from Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Chris Smith (“Tiger King,” “Fyre,” “100 Foot Wave”). Based on the original reporting of investigative journalist Scott Johnson, and his book published by Harper Collins, “Hollywood Con Queen: The Hunt for an Evil Genius,”

In the series, “A mysterious figure — known as the Con Queen — is impersonating powerful female executives in Hollywood, luring victims with the promise of life-changing career opportunities. A journalist and a private investigator set out to find the culprit behind the scam.”

The series consists of three episodes titled, “Crazy, Mad, Crazy, Genius,” “A Different Animal,” and “Thank You for the Story.” In the first episode, “The Con Queen lures victims to Indonesia to work on fictitious film projects. Scott, a journalist, and Nicole, a private investigator, take on the case.” In the second episode, “In a bizarre twist, the Con Queen finds unexpected success in London. With new leads in hand, Scott travels the globe to hunt them down.” And in the final episode, “After finding the Con Queen in Manchester, Scott sets out to learn about their past and motives before law enforcement closes in.”

Hollywood Con Queen premieres May 8, 2024.
