Another Evil Dead film has been announced, this time from The Last Stop in Yuma County director, Francis Galluppi. Galluppi is set to write and direct a new Evil Dead movie for Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert’s Ghost House Pictures, according to Deadline.

No plot details or producers have been announced, but the project is described as “an original story that Galluppi developed and brought to Raimi and team.” No word on a plot or who all will be producing, as its early days here.”

In a statement, Raimi had this to say of Galluppi, “Francis Galluppi is a storyteller who knows when to keep us waiting in simmering tension and when to hit us with explosive violence. He is a director that shows uncommon control in his feature debut.”

This is now the second Evil Dead film that is in the works, with Sébastien Vaniček (Infested) also working on a spin-off of the franchise.
