On Saturday, April 27, The Fall Guy star Ryan Gosling and Director David Leitch surprised fans by appearing in “The Fall Guy Stuntacular Pre-Show” at Universal Studios Hollywood. The pre-show is before the WaterWorld stunt show and inspired by The Fall Guy moviewhich is in theaters on May 3rd.

The live show, a part of the theme park’s Waterworld attraction, will run through May 19. This all-new, exclusive entertainment performance features an original storyline designed to provide an entertaining peek behind the curtain of how stunt performances are designed and brought to life, while celebrating the artistry of the film industry’s unsung heroes – the stunt performers.

The show is produced by 87North Productions, a production and action design company founded by Leitch and producer Kelly McCormick. The company has previously produced films like “Bullet Train,” “Fast & Furious Present: Hobbs & Shaw,” “Deadpool 2,” “Atomic Blonde,” “Nobody,” “Violent Night” and “John Wick.”

An exclusive social engagement, The Fall Guy photo op, will also be available within the theme park. Starting with the film’s release on May 3, guests and moviegoers will be able to enjoy a double dose of The Fall Guy by attending “The Fall Guy Stuntacular Pre-Show” and then seeing the film in style at Universal Cinema on Universal CityWalk Hollywood, either in the seven-story IMAX® with 4K laser projection or its new PRIME Theatre, featuring 4K laser projection technology and superior acoustics. Universal CityWalk offers moviegoers $5 parking with purchase of General Parking and a movie ticket (restrictions apply). 

“The Fall Guy” stars Gosling as Colt Seavers, a stuntman searching for the missing star of a mega-budget studio tentpole. Inspired by the 1980s TV series of the same name, the film also stars Blunt, Winston Duke, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Waddingham and Stephanie Hsu. It opens in theaters May 3.
