Release Dates for ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s 2,’ ‘M3GAN 2.0’ and ‘The Black Phone 2’ Announced from Blumhouse

Blumhouse announced upcoming horror movie release dates today, including Five Nights at Freddy’s, M3GAN 2.0, The Blackphone 2, The Woman in the Yard, and Drop.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 will release in theaters December 5, 2025.

The highest-grossing horror film of 2023, the Five Night’s at Freddy’s 2 plot is still under wraps. Emma Tammi has returned to direct, with Jason Blum and Scott Cawthon returning to produce.

M3GAN 2.0 has been pushed from May 16, 2025, to a release of June 27, 2025.

Allison Williams and Violet McGraw are back for the sequel. Akela Cooper (Malignant, M3GAN) will write the script and James Wan will produce.

The Black Phone 2, which had been set for theatrical release on June 27, 2025, will now release October 17, 2025.

Ethan Hawke will be back as The Grabber, with Mason Thames (How to Train Your Dragon, Incoming), Madeleine McGraw (Toy Story 4Secrets of Sulphur Springs), Jeremy Davies (Justified) and Miguel Mora (The Black Phone) set to return. Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill will be writing and producing the upcoming sequel.

The Woman in the Yard will release on March 28, 2025.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and starring Danielle Deadwyler. The plot is under wraps. Written by Sam Stefanak, the film also stars Russell Horsby, Okwui Okpokwasili, Peyton Jackson and Estella Kahiha. Jason Blum produced alongside Stephanie Allain, with Deadwyler, Collet-Serra, Gabrielle Ebron, Scott Greenberg and James Moran serving as EPs.

Christopher Landon’s thriller Drop comes to theaters on April 11, 2025.

The film stars Meghann Fahy along with Brandon Sklenar, Violett Beane Jacob Robinson and Ed Weeks. Written by Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach, it is produced by Blum for Blumhouse and by Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller for Platinum Dunes. Ron Lynch and Sam Lerner are executive producers.
