Sony has announced the next installment in the Insidious franchise will release on August 29, 2025. There are no further details on this installment.

According to Deadline, this installment is not the previously announced spinoff movie Thread: An Insidious Tale, which stars Mandy Moore and Kumail Nanjiani. Thread: An Insidious Tale does not yet have a release date.

Director James Wan’s original Insidious movie in 2011 was followed by Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013), Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015), Insidious: The Last Key (2018), and last year’s Insidious: The Red Door, which became the highest grossing movie in the entire franchise thus far.
