‘X-Men’ Movie – Michael Lesslie to Serve as Screenwriter on New Marvel Film

Marvel Studios is making some progress on their upcoming X-Men film. Michael Lesslie (Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes) is on board to write the film. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige will produce.

Despite this major update in the film, fans will still have to wait since the film is in early development. There still are no directors, actors, or a release date attached to the film. It will be interesting to see what directors and actors they decide to go with.

The news follows the success of Marvel’s most recent X-Men project, the animated series, X-Men ’97. The first episode premiered March 20, 2024, with the finale premiering May 15. The series has received great reviews, making it apparent that fans are eager for more X-Men content.

Lesslie most recently helped Lionsgate with Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, and up next is the long-awaited sequel in the Now You See Me franchise, which he also wrote.
