Brandy (I Still Know What You Did Last Summer) is returning to horror with A24’s The Front Room. The film has an official release date set for later this year.

Olivier Award-winning actress Kathryn Hunter (The Tragedy of Macbeth), Tony Award-winning actor Andrew Burnap (Snow White), and Neal Huff (Spotlight) will also star.

The film “follows a young, newly pregnant couple forced to take in an ailing stepmother who has long been estranged from the family.” It is directed by Max and Sam Eggers; the film will be their feature debut. According to Variety, “They adapted the screenplay from Susan Hill’s short story of the same name.”

The Front Room releases in theaters September 6, 2024.
