South Korean filmmaker Yeon Sang-ho (Train to Busan) is set to write and direct his first English-language film titled 35th Street for TriStar Pictures.
The film is “being described as an action/horror film.” However, further plot details are being kept under wraps. The film will be produced by Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way and WOW POINT.
Yeon Sang-ho’s Train to Busan released in 2016. It starred Gong Yoo, Jung Yu-mi, Ma Dong-seok, Kim Su-an, Choi Woo-shik, Ahn So-hee and Kim Eui-sung. In the film, “A man (Gong Yoo), his estranged daughter and other passengers become trapped on a speeding train during a zombie outbreak in South Korea.” It was followed by animated prequel Seoul Station and later 2020 live action sequel Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula.
