A24 dropped a surprise trailer for MaXXXine. The new trailer starts off with a preview of “The Puritan II,” which introduces Lily Collins’ character, Molly Bennett. We then see Maxine being questioned by detectives, and it quickly gets dark, with Maxine saying, “I’ve seen the devil stalking me.”

Ti West wrote and directed MaXXXine. The film stars Mia Goth, Elizabeth Debicki ((Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.), Moses Sumney (The Idol), Michelle Monaghan (Nanny), Bobby Cannavale (The Watcher), Lily Collins (Emily in Paris), Halsey (Americana), Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Saul) and Kevin Bacon (City on a Hill).

Set in 1980s Hollywood, the film follows, “…adult film star and aspiring actress Maxine Minx finally gets her big break. However, as a mysterious killer stalks the starlets of Los Angeles, a trail of blood threatens to reveal her sinister past.”

In theaters July 5, 2024.
