Xbox Showcase today ended with a huge announcement of the new Gears game. Gears of War has made a comeback 4 years after the release of Gears of War 5 with the new trailer for Gears of War E-Day. E-Day will be the origin story of Gears of War apparently which could make for some interesting gameplay. Gears of War E-Day is set 14 years before the first Gears, and “tells the story of the first Locust emergence on Sera.” It once again stars Marcus Fenix and is an origin story to the game and characters. The game doesn’t currently have a release date, but it’s being built on Unreal Engine 5
