Spyglass’ (Scream, Scream VI, Thanksgiving) upcoming Valentine’s Day-theme horror film, Heart Eyes will star Devon Sawa (Final Destination, “Chucky”) and Jordana Brewster (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning).

Josh Ruben (Werewolves Within, Scare Me) is directing with Mason Gooding (Scream) and Olivia Holt (“Cruel Summer”) also starring. It is written by Phillip Murphy (The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard), Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky), and Michael Kennedy (Freaky).

In Heart Eyes, “when the Heart Eyes Killer strikes Seattle, a pair of co-workers pulling overtime on Valentine’s Day are mistaken for a couple by the elusive couple-hunting killer. Now they must spend the most romantic night of the year running for their lives.”

Josh Ruben said in a statement shared by Deadline, “My love of horror is rivaled only by my love of romantic comedies. I’m excited as hell to mount my most challenging genre bender to date: a brutal slasher in a nostalgic rom-com universe.”
