Perri Nemiroff has been celebrating female powerhouses in Hollywood since 2019 via the interview series, Collider Ladies Night. On Friday, July 26, the show will take a massive leap forward by hosting a live episode in one of the biggest rooms at San Diego Comic-Con.
On Friday, July 26 at 2:00pm, Perri will hit the Ballroom 20 stage with superstars Melissa Barrera, Katy O’Brian and Erika Henningsen to discuss their journeys in the industry thus far, their most recent releases, and what they’ve got coming up next. In true Ladies Night fashion, the conversation will be geared toward honoring their talent and accomplishments while offering unprecedented behind the scenes insight into the reality of sparking a career in film and television.
In recent years, Barrera has cemented herself as a beloved horror icon. Not only does she command the screen as Samantha Carpenter in Scream and Scream VI, but she also just reunited with directing duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett for yet another epic blood-soaked production — the vampire film, Abigail. Next up for Barrera is yet another film that falls in the horror genre, but also many others. Her indie gem Your Monster is a wildly clever genre mash-up that continues to allow Barrera to show the industry she’s got endless range.
O’Brian saw her career skyrocket in a flash in stunning fashion. In a mere four years, she’s joined three of the biggest series in film and television — the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Wars, and Mission: Impossible. While we’ll have to wait to see her work in Mission: Impossible 8, she’s already proven herself a franchise scene stealer with her work in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and The Mandalorian. O’Brian is also in the midst of a banner 2024. Not only did she just headline the wonderfully wild and one-of-kind A24 release, Love Lies Bleeding, opposite Kristen Stewart, but she’s also in the much-anticipated Twister sequel directed by Lee Isaac Chung, Twisters.
Henningsen is also busy enjoying an epic 2024. She’s been adding stellar credits to her stage and screen resume for years now, but the release of Hazbin Hotel on Prime Video in January achieved next-level success. The show currently holds the record for largest global debut for a new animated series on the streamer. While creator Vivienne Medrano and voice cast members like Henningsen work on the show’s highly anticipated second season, the group tours the country via conventions packed with adoring Hazbin fans. In addition to her voice acting work, Henningsen was also recently cast in an upcoming Tina Fey production, a new Netflix series called Four Seasons.
