Marvel’s Hall H panel at Comic-Con 2024 had some huge announcements. The first was that sibling directors Joe and Anthony Russo would be tackling the next two Avengers films. Avengers: Doomsday will be out May 2026 and Avengers Secret Wars is slated for May 2027. Of course, with Doomsday that means one thing…..DOOM is coming. Who would be playing Doctor Doom however? Well, it wasn’t a long wait to find out as Robert Downey Jr. was revealed as Doctor Doom!

It was a huge announcement that had many shook and wondering how is this possible. Robert Downey Jr of course played Iron Man up until Avengers Endgame. RDJ also is coming off an Academy Award win with Oppenheimer. It looks like Marvel and RDJ continue their relationship that started back in 2008 with the Iron Man movie that kicked off the MCU. We are excited to see RDJ as Doctor Doom and what that will be like. It was also confirmed that The Fantastic Four would also be popping up in both Avengers films.
