Camila Mendes (Riverdale, Música) is set to star as Teela in the live-action Masters of the Universe film from Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films. Mendes will star opposite Nicholas Galitzine, who plays He-Man.

Teela “is the Captain of the Royal Guard at the palace of Eternos and thus responsible for training and protecting Prince Adam of Eternia.”

Laika’s Travis Knight is directing from a screenplay by Chris Butler. David Callaham and Aaron and Adam Nee worked on the initial draft. Plot details are being kept under wraps.

Masters of the Universe is being produced by Escape Artists and Mattel Films for release exclusively in theaters worldwide on June 5, 2026.
