Level 33 Entertainment’s Across The River And Into The Trees, based on the acclaimed novel by Ernest Hemingway will release On Demand November 1.
The film stars Liev Schreiber (“The Perfect Couple”, “Ray Donovan”, Spotlight), Matilda de Angelis (Rose Island, The Undoing) alongside Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games, The Beekeeper, The Kids Are Alright) and Danny Huston (The Aviator, The Constant Gardener).
Directed by Paula Ortiz (The Red Virgin, Teresa) and written by Peter Flannery (The Devil’s Mistress, “Inspector George Gently”), Across The River And Into The Trees captures a fleeting moment of immortality where time stands still. The story contains the great Hemingway themes of love, war, youth and age.

As WWII ends, Col. Cantwell, a witty war hero, confronts terminal illness. Seeking solace in Venice, he commandeers a driver for a final trip. Amid unraveling plans, a chance encounter with a countess offers hope and redemption against the backdrop of war.
