Wuthering Heights is the upcoming film from Emerald Fennell after the fantastical ‘Saltburn’ last year. Warner Bros. Motion Pictures Group has landed MRC’s feature film adaptation of “Wuthering Heights”. Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi are set to star in the project, which sparked a fierce bidding war.

MRC is the studio financing the film, LuckyChap is producing and Fennell wrote and will direct and produce the feature film adaptation based on the Emily Brontë novel. Warner Bros. Pictures will distribute “Wuthering Heights” in theaters globally.

“Wuthering Heights” marks the second collaboration between MRC, LuckyChap and Fennell after the breakout hit “Saltburn,” and the third collaboration with LuckyChap and Emerald Fennell.

Emerald Fennell had this to say about the new.

“I’m so excited to be working with the amazing team at Warner Bros., and to once again be partnering with the brilliant MRC and LuckyChap.”

Wuthering Heights is the only novel by the English author Emily Brontë, initially published in 1847 under her pen name “Ellis Bell”. It concerns two families of the landed gentry living on the West Yorkshire moors, the Earnshaws and the Lintons, and their turbulent relationships with the Earnshaws’ foster son, Heathcliff.

Wuthering Heights is expected to start filming sometime next year. It could have a potential 2026 release and we will be excited and ready to see this vision come to life!
